Sites this notice covers

This notice covers grades.llc, foia.grades.llc, grades.us, and the school sites under grades.us (for example, msu.grades.us).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our sites: which pages they view, how they arrived (for example, from a search engine or another site), and general information about their device, browser, and approximate location. We don't use it to collect names, email addresses, or other information that directly identifies you.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, to recognize a returning browser. They expire after up to two years. Google Analytics keeps event-level data about individual visits for 14 months; aggregated reports may be kept longer. Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Umami

While we move to Google Analytics, grades.llc, foia.grades.llc, and grades.us also send page views to Umami, a cookieless analytics service. Umami doesn't set cookies.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Our sites work the same either way.
